Myles Standish & Shamus McDougal

Here are a couple of pictures that we took this summer at the Myles Standish monument in Plymouth, MA. It is one of the more impressive monuments in the Plymouth area. You can see it across the bay when you are in Plymouth. At the time we took these pictures, Jennie was pregnant, but we didn't find out until just after we returned from Boston.

Also, we were lucky enough while we were in the Boston area to visit the monument to Jennie's lesser known ancestor, Shamus McDougal. I don't have a link to share with you for dear old Shamus, but I think that the picture speaks for itself. Needless to say, Shamus isn't talked about nearly as much at family reunions.
