You may remember this film. The whole basis of the film was that John Ritter and his wife were unable to have a child, so some nuns con him into adopting a seven year-old named Junior who idolizes a serial killer and is fairly destructive. The tagline for the movie was the following: "Attila the Hun. Ivan the Terrible. Al Capone. They were all seven once."
Now, I am not suggesting that Dashiel is as bad as the Problem Child, or that he is a problem child. But once he gets in sacrament meeting on Sunday mornings, I can't help but think that Attila the Hun and Ivan the Terrible were all two year-olds once. Or when he wakes up from a nap in a bad mood. Or when he feels that Myles is getting more attention than he merits. Or when he wants to watch Elmo or Bob the Builder and they are not on television. Or when I am typing on the computer and he wants to play games.
Ironically, Dashiel just rode his scooter over to me and told me, "I good," and handed me a small bouncy ball and told me, "Happy birthday." However, this posting will not be influenced by sweet talking or bribes. Dashiel is a wonderful, loving, cute, and, most importantly, totally out-of-control two year-old. And, I love him and his brother.

I hear ya, Morgan. Mothers always whitewash over the *important* details of their kids' behavior. Fathers report the truth, however unpleasant it may be. :)
We watched "Problem Child" once, back when it came out on video (has it really been nearly 18 years?). My parents hated it. My reaction was fairly "meh." My younger brothers loved it. Perhaps they all saw something they could identify with? I don't know if I care to revisit it to find out!
oh that is really unfortunate! I can't imagine what it would be like to have a child that was anything less than an angel at all times. Haha J/K
Morgan just you wait till he is FOUR!!!
