Fife Family Vacation

Last weekend we took a little trip down to St. George with the Fife family. It was so nice to get away for a few days and just relax. The drive wasn't bad with the help of the DVD player and multiple viewings of Finding Nemo. We left Thurday arriving in St. George late that evening. My Aunt and Uncle let us stay at their house that night, thank you Susan and Larry it was great.
Friday was Myles's birthday so we hung out in the morning while Morgan went on a little bike ride and then we went into Zions. It was so beautiful.

Dashiel loved riding the bus but didn't understand the idea of hiking. He wanted to push his stroller instead of riding in it so we really didn't get anywhere.

Myles was happy to be in the back pack and outside in the nice weather.

The boys took their naps in the car on the way to the hotel and then we went swimming. We met up with the rest of the Fife's at the hotel including my soon to be brother-in-law Jack. Saturday was great, pedicures and massages for the sisters (million thanks Rod) and more swimming for the boys. That night we all went out to dinner celebrating Myles and Royal both turning one this month. I love steak! The kids did pretty well being away from home until Sunday when the break downs began. We were packing up the van and I went outside for a minute, when I came back in the hotel room both boys were crying (screaming) and Morgan had the desperate "help me" look on his face. We ended up skipping church and quickly heading straight home.

We arrived home to find that while I was packing on Thursday Dashiel had turned the fridge and freezer controls completely off!!!! All of our food was spoiled. We threw everything (EVERYTHING!!!!) away and I had to make an early trip to Macey's Monday morning. Overall it was a fun weekend when I could finally stop crying over spoiled milk.

Don't you love how everything sounds so funny and rosy when you write it in a blog:) Meltdowns seem almost cute and mischief by your toddler is laughable. I hope you did get to throw in your own tantrum somewhere... Love ya!
