Myles's Check Up

I took Myles to his two years check up last week so here are the stats:
Height 36 inches, 88th %tile
Weight 24 lbs, 10th %tile

Tall and skinny, go figure.

Myles is turning into a typical two-year-old. He has definite opinions about things and can be pretty stubborn. He doesn't have the screaming tantrums like Dashiel, which is nice, but he can be pouty and gives very intimidating glares. Myles is so good at taking his time-outs, I think he likes getting away from Dashiel for a few minutes. He is still a sweetheart but has started acting shy around big groups of people and doesn't like to get his picture taken. At Lindsey and James's wedding he wouldn't look at the camera and by the end of taking pictures he had had it.
Myles is talking so much. He strings his words together into little sentences but most of the time only Dashiel and I can understand him. Myles loves to play with cars, guns and with Morgan.

Myles had a fly land on his arm a few weeks ago and when he looked at his arm to find where the fly had landed he found for the first time his birth mark. He got really upset that the fly had "hurt" him and needed a band aid for the day. Now if you ask him where the fly hurt him he will show you his birth mark. He is so funny. We celebrated Myles's birthday the Sunday Chase was blessed so we had family there to sing to him and Susanna (her birthday is 4 days after Myles). Myles was so upset at all of the attention, he cried but finally calmed down when he realized how cool it is to blow out candles. He got great presents from his grandparents and Morgan and I got him his own bike. He can't reach the pedals but he loves that thing.

We got that same bike for Quinton!! He also couldn't reach the pedals when we first got it for him (a little after he turned 2). For some reason, even after he could reach the pedals, he had a hard time pedaling. He is finally figuring out how to do it - and he is over 3 1/2!
