Never say never
I did something today I said I would never ever do. I swept my kitchen floor onto the living room carpet! I know you are all shocked that I wouldn't just sweep the floor into a nice pile and use a dust pan and little broom like I was taught to do by my mother. In my defense, I really didn't have a choice. I was between a rock and a hard place. Dashiel was "helping" me sweep and he wouldn't leave my pile alone. He was using the swiffer to spread the pile all around the kitchen and since I hadn't swept all weekend it wasn't a small pile. I was also cleaning up after a breakfast of Cheerios for Myles and toast with the crust taken off and thrown on the ground for Dashiel. So I did the unthinkable: I swept all of that dirt and food right onto the carpet. I did immediately vacuum the upstairs but I am still feeling a little guilty. So, never say never about anything because it will all change when you have a stubborn, independent, disobedient child.

That is awesome. I have already done something I said I would never do. Amber co-slept with us last night because she is sick and wouldn't sleep any other way. I can't wait to see what other "horrible" things I do.
Oh, I can definitely relate. Sweeping and "helpful" young children do not go well together at all.
