Mommy Time

I love my children but I need to do some things on my own so I can handle the day to day craziness of my life. This is what I have been doing lately. First I started painting again. My neighbor, Jan, is a self taught oil painter and she has a craft/paint room in her basement. I go over every Wednesday night after the kids are in bed to paint with her. It has been a great stress relief and I am really liking starting some new projects. Here is a picture of the painting I just finished. I copied it from Monet.

Second, I learned how to knit. My ward is collecting hats as a service project and I went to a Relief Society activity and learned what to do. I have knitted baby and preemie hats in different sizes and colors to donate. I like to knit when kid shows are on or when Morgan is watching sports. I still mess up a lot and am limited in the kind of stitches I know how to do but so far it has been fun. I put one of my creations on Chase who was a beautiful . This hat is for a but you get the idea.
